Important safety notice

Please schedule service of your inflatable VIKING lifejacket now

May 25, 2020

Dear customer,

For safety reasons VIKING has decided to call in specific ISO lifejackets for service. An investigation has found that cylinders inside inflatable lifejackets could potentially loosen during use and we want to make sure that your equipment is in the best of conditions.

Free upgrade

To fasten the cylinder, a retainer can be mounted, and we are offering a free upgrade for the following lifejacket models: PV9210, PV9272, PV9273, PV9274 and PV9275.

What is a cylinder retainer?

The retainer strap is a mechanical locking device that confines the movement of the gas cylinder. If your lifejacket has been serviced by an authorized service station after February 2019, your cylinder has already been securely fastened with Loctite®. In Sweden lifejackets with cylinders that have already been fastened with Loctite® must also have a retainer base mounted.

What to do if you have a VIKING lifejacket?

Please contact your nearest VIKING servicing station to get your retainer mounted free of charge:
