Choosing between a valise or container
This choice depends on your vessel
If there is enough space on the deck or railing of your vessel, we recommend that you mount a container for your VIKING liferaft. In an emergency, it is easy to get to the liferaft and deploy it.
The valise is a good solution when there is not enough room to mount a container. Store it in a dry and stable area below deck or in a deck storage box. The valise is a portable solution letting you take the liferaft with you.
Storage options

RescYou™ Container
The high-gloss rigid fibreglass container offers maximum protection against the elements and ensures the liferaft is stored exactly where you might need it. Mount the container on deck, railing, push pit or bulkhead.

HRU - Hydrostatic Release Unit
For extra safety, our liferaft containers can be fitted with a hydrostatic (water pressure) release unit, or HRU, enabling the liferaft to deploy and surface automatically when a vessel is sinking.

RescYou™ Valise
The valise is water-resistant and the cover has a modern black and silver design. You can bring the valise ashore to prevent theft or if you need it on board a different boat. A liferaft in a valise should be stored in designated lockers, lazarettes or down below and must be kept dry and accessible. It’s not recommended for lashing on deck.
Installation
